Thus, those larger-margin victories would boost how Big 12 teams are reflected in metrics like the NET, which is the NCAA Evaluation Tool used by the selection committee.

Women's Basketball
The Bears’ upset of No. 4 Utah signals a return to the program’s Big-12-championship-winning ways.
In front of a record-breaking student crowd, No. 21 Baylor women’s basketball upset No. 4 Utah 84-77.
The No. 4 Utes will be the No. 21 Bears’ first big test of the season.
Tennis
On the heels of a four-game losing streak, No. 10 Baylor men’s tennis is headed to Chicago for the ITA National Team Indoor Championships to try and get back on track.
The Bears have a veteran leader in fifth-year senior Paula Barañano, who has “seen the good, bad and ugly” according to head coach Joey Scrivano.
After an extended home stand, No. 10 Baylor men’s tennis traveled to Columbus, Ohio, to face No. 1 Ohio State University Tuesday evening. For the third time in the teams’ last four matches, the Bears fell to a top-4 team, this time by a score of 4-0 in the Ty Tucker Tennis Center.
Golf
Baylor tennis and women’s golf have been selected as postseason host sites for May 2025 and May 2026.
Women’s golf continues to dominate the fall season, sweeping the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin over the weekend.
