Men's Basketball
The Bears scored 60 second-half points at Foster Pavilion Saturday as the Jayhawks blew a 21-point lead, the largest blown lead in program history.
Injury-riddled and coming off an overtime loss, the Bears return to Foster Pavilion in need of some momentum.
Freshmen led the way for both teams, as Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe (28 points) and Robert O. Wright III (22 points) and BYU’s Kanon Catchings (23 points) led their respective teams in scoring.
Women's Basketball
The Bears (3-1) honed in on the defensive side of the ball, where junior forward Bella Fontleroy had a career-high five blocks. Head coach Nicki Collen’s team finished with 23 points off turnovers after forcing 11 steals and swatting away nine shots.
Just three games into the season, junior forward Darianna Littlepage-Buggs is having a career year as the team’s leader in points and rebounds. Littlepage-Buggs led all players with 22 points and 11 rebounds as No. 17 Baylor women’s basketball dropped East Texas A&M, 104-55, Thursday night at the Foster Pavilion.
No. 12 Baylor women’s basketball graduate guard Jana Van Gytenbeek will miss the rest of the 2024-25 season after suffering a torn ACL in the season opener, she announced on Monday.

Tennis
The second day of the NCAA singles and doubles championships saw senior duo Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Marko Miladinovic advance in the opening round of doubles play.
Baylor Men’s Tennis participated in the first round of the NCAA singles tournament yesterday. Through two hard-fought matches, sophomore Devin Badenhorst advanced to the next round against NC state’s Martin Borisiouk 6-4, 7 (9) -6 (7), and senior Oskar Brostrom Poulsen fell to Princeton’s junior Fnu Nidunjianzan 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
Amidst the pressure in a tournament that includes some of the best in Texas, Baylor finds itself with a chance at glory.
Golf
With a full slate of spring tournaments ahead, Baylor is ready to tee-off and start 2023 the way they ended 2022: with a dominant tournament win.
The Bears used a dominant 27 holes on Monday to seize the overall team victory at the Collegiate Invitational at the Guadalajara Country Club in Guadalajara, Mexico.
