A quick recap of last weekend’s action and upcoming events
Baylor softball won third place at the Fairfield Inn North-Texas Shootout this past weekend at Getterman Stadium, but lost its ace pitcher, redshirt junior Whitney Canion, to a torn ACL.
Baylor men’s golf team finished 10th at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Sunday in Palm Desert, Calif. Baylor was 1-over through two rounds but shot a final round 292 to finish the tournament with 5-over 869, and is now ranked No. 29 nationally.

“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

The U.S. stock market just got a Texas-sized addition. The Texas Stock Exchange received approval from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a new stock exchange, with TXSE set to begin trading stocks by early 2026.
