Being a trailblazer comes with a legacy and a burden. For 47 years, the Nu Iota chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Incorporated has paved the way for others while standing strong in their principles of sisterhood and service.
This March, Cameron Park Zoo introduced four new camels and two new ostriches to the zoo community. The staff hopes to encourage hands-on care and compassion for these animals to inspire a heart for conservation and animal activism in younger generations of zoo-goers.
Beyond fruits and vegetables, the semesterly Free Farmers Market raised awareness about food insecurity and connected students with campus resources.
As Turning Point USA prepares to visit Baylor, a coalition of student groups are organizing an alternative event focused on unity, dialogue and inclusion.

Former President Donald Trump held his first official 2024 presidential campaign rally Saturday, and drew tens of thousands of supporters to the Waco Regional Airport.
“From Waco to El Paso, from Houston to Dallas and from the Red River’s of the Rio Grande, the people of Texas live and breathe the fiercest spirit of independence,” Trump said.
“He won Texas in 2016 and 2020, and won McLennan County by over 20 percentage points,” Flavin said. “He has a lot of support here compared to, say, Austin. If he was going to come to Texas, it makes sense.”
Families and friends gathered Sunday at Hewitt Park for the celebration of Down Syndrome with refreshments, games and bonding of students who fight to be radically included.

Gas prices in Texas have surged more than 70 cents per gallon since the U.S. went to war with Iran three weeks ago. The near-total shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz has driven oil prices up more than 40%, pushing the national average to its highest point since 2023 and sending diesel past $5 for the first time in three years.
The largest U.S. military operation in the Middle East in decades unfolded as American and Israeli forces struck Iran Saturday, killing its supreme leader and triggering retaliatory strikes from the Gulf to Israel.
