“We encourage all members of our community to participate in our democratic process by casting their ballot on Election Day,” Farmer-Neal said in an email. “It’s one of our most important rights and privileges as Americans.”
There are a number of locations around Waco that are accessible for students and potential weekend plans, like Baylor’s Mayborn Museum or the Waco Downtown Farmers Market.
“Before this year, LASH tended to focus more on diversity within us — Hispanics, ourselves — that was our main focus,” Robles said. “It wasn’t until this year when we added the DEI chair that we were able to start taking a different route.”
“We’re sort of drowned in this large space, which is a beautiful space, but it’s very overwhelming for people sometimes, especially prospective students,” Wolfe said. “But then you get to go in these columns before your tour … And now this building, as the face of Baylor, entertains you.”

As Halloween draws near, churches across America are gearing up for the holiday and are looking for ways to put a faith-friendly spin on things.
The historically macabre holiday has received plenty of criticism from churches in recent years, but some churches are finding ways to take the element of fear out of Halloween, said religion department lecturer Dr. Joe Coker.
Through the Red Door Project, Central Texas Metropolitan Community Church is attempting to help those who are HIV positive by providing services to people suffering from the disease.
Trick or treating turns to the wild side as children and their parents are invited to attend Cameron Park Zoo’s annual Zoo Boo.
Zoo Boo is an event for children from two to 12 years of age. Zoo Boo takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween night only.
Watergate scandal reporter Bob Woodward imparted his knowledge on presidents, politics and reporting at a live interview at McLennan Community College Tuesday night.
Woodward is most known for breaking the Watergate scandal in 1972 alongside fellow reporter Carl Bernstein, as well as writing 17 nonfiction bestsellers.

Lilia Gonzalez, director of nurses, said Health Services would remain available to monitor potential measles outbreaks and help students. Though the Texas measles outbreak has ended, Health Services continues providing preventative measures for other potential outbreaks.
