WAXAHACHIE — An enormous fire engulfed a Waxahachie chemical-mixing facility on Monday, destroying the complex and emitting a cloud of smoke that could be seen clearly on the horizon more than 60 miles away in Waco.
The Magnablend Chemical Plant Fire is generally under control, Waxahachie Fire Chief David Hudgins said.
A Texas chemical plant spokesman says employees who were inside the plant when a massive fire broke out were able to evacuate.
The National Association for College Admission Counseling released a report this week calling into question the criteria used by U.S. News and World Report, a magazine widely known for its annual ranking of America’s best colleges.
