Student Senate is seeking to fill six more vacant seats this semester.

Arlington junior Dominic Edwards, student body internal vice president, said it is imperative these positions be filled so that the Student Senate can function in the way that its constitution requires.

One man remains unaccounted for Tuesday evening after two construction workers were dragged to the bottom of the Brazos River while building the bridge that will connect McLane Stadium and the Baylor Law School.

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A 16-year-old boy set himself on fire at a suburban Denver high school on Monday in an apparent suicide attempt that left him critically injured, authorities said.
The boy didn’t make any threats before starting the fire in the cafeteria at Standley Lake High School at about 7:15 a.m., Westminster Police Department spokeswoman Cheri Spottke said.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
