Homecoming has rolled around for Baylor football, and the team is looking to bring its road success back to McLane Stadium. Playing in Waco hasn’t treated the Bears well, as they’re 1-4 in their home venue. This comes during a season in which Baylor leads the nation with eight home games.

“My coaches tell me that my walk-up song is ‘I want it all and I want it now,’” head coach Mitch Thompson quipped. “That’s just the way it is, and that’s probably true. I’m a really impatient guy, and I do want it all, and I want it now, so give it to me now and let’s do it.”

Let me preface what’s to come with a statement I truly believe – Dave Aranda is an elite defensive coordinator with a great knowledge of the game and has the makings of a successful head coach. With that said, I don’t think he resembles a ‘successful’ head coach in the modern collegiate game.

No. 7 Baylor women’s tennis snapped its two-match losing streak with a 4-0 win over No. 36 Texas Saturday afternoon at the Hurd Tennis Center. After getting off to a slow start in doubles and singles play, the Bears (20-6, 6-1 Big 12) got the clean sweep over the Longhorns.
