For many people struggling with addiction, temptation can rear its ugly head at a moment’s notice. With a new app, recovering alcoholics can be notified when their temptation is nearby with a resounding alarm.

At the moment, the reputation of Christians in public life is disastrous. Religious people are often seen as fanatical fundamentalists, leading massive hate campaigns complete with picket signs and boycotts.

Last month, the infamous tiger mom Amy Chua and her husband Jed Reubenfeld released another book that elicited controversy. The Yale Law professors’ latest book, “The Triple Package,” provides a theory and evidence as to why certain minority groups seem to succeed in the United States.

Student loans. The very words cause many in higher education to shudder in fear, and rightfully so. College, especially private schools such as Baylor, is expensive, and the debt can be hard for many people to get ahead of.

My mom has the softest hands. I was never sure as to why or how. It was an enigma to me. As far as I knew, she didn’t use any special moisturizer or lotion. Five decades later, Sunday mornings remain a highly segregated hour. Roughly 5 percent of the nation’s churches are racially integrated, and half of them are in the midst of transitioning to either all-white or all-black, according to CNN.

News broke last week that Tesla, a California-based electric car company, had been banned from selling cars in several states due to lobbying pressure from existing car dealers. Though both sides in the debate are quick to claim they are fighting for a “free market,” there’s hypocrisy on both sides.
