This past weekend, Waco Haunted House began its first season under new ownership and a new name: American Scare Grounds. But don’t let the name change fool you. Bobby Crane, the new owner and president of American Scare Grounds, said he wants to continue to build on the original owners’ legacy.
After the passing of House Bill 3979, associate professor of curriculum and instruction Karon LeCompte and other educators reflect on the changes in social studies education in the past 20 years.
The Mayborn Museum takes relationships locally, nationally and even within the museum into account to decide what to feature.
“I want to be a physical therapist at Baylor,” Longview junior Kayla Escalante said. “Even though it’s not easy, I know I am supposed to be here, and I know what’s going to be better for my education and my son.”

Lilia Gonzalez, director of nurses, said Health Services would remain available to monitor potential measles outbreaks and help students. Though the Texas measles outbreak has ended, Health Services continues providing preventative measures for other potential outbreaks.
