March Madness 2025

A calm, collected and unguarded Perry Jones III stood under the basket Tuesday night and subtly pointed to the sky. A half second later, sophomore A.J. Walton responded with an alley-oop pass that Jones III slammed home, punctuating a 25-point effort in Baylor’s 74-61 win over Oklahoma.

Despite facing a Gonzaga team that lost its leading scorer for much of Saturday’s game, No. 9 ranked Baylor fell to the unranked Bulldogs, 68-64. Freshman Perry Jones III’s team-high 19 points led the Bears, who were beat in the post and could not maintain an offensive rhythm.

Sitting on a 500-acre plot of land that overlooks the Nile River in Uganda is an orphanage housing more than 50 children, about half of whom lost their parents to the violence of the Lord’s Resistance Army, a rebel group that has terrorized civilians in various regions of Africa for years.

LaceDarius Dunn scored 24 points, including six 3-pointers, as Baylor built a commanding second half lead to beat Arizona State, 68-54, Thursday night at the Ferrell Center.

While men’s basketball says it has not underestimated any of their last five opponents, today’s game against Arizona State looks to be the stiffest competition before the semester ends.
