Some people say everyone deserves a second chance. On Saturday night, Texas couldn’t have agreed more.
When Baylor and Texas tip off at 8 p.m. Saturday, head coach Scott Drew will watch from the bench knowing the importance of the game on several levels. “I don’t know if there’s ever been a bigger regular season college game in Baylor’s school history,” Drew said. “[ESPN’s] College GameDay is as big as it gets. It’s obviously a much-needed game for us win-wise.”
Jan. 29 was a sad day for Baylor basketball. I’m not talking about the scoreboard, which showed a 70-66 win over Colorado, nor am I talking about how the Bears’ 17-point comeback transpired on the court.

After staying in Waco long enough to welcome and quickly usher out No. 11/13 Oklahoma 92-70, the No. 1 Lady Bears now hit the road again to take on the Sooners’ in-state rival, Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. Sunday.
If there was any question why the Baylor Lady Bears have held the No. 1 spot for five weeks, they were all answered Wednesday night in Waco as the Lady Bears continued their winning streak of now 17 games, dominating the Oklahoma Sooners 92-70.
Overcoming a Reed Arena crowd and a No. 5/6 Aggie squad may have been the toughest conference challenge for Baylor this season, but the Lady Bears should not expect a much easier foe when they host No. 13 Oklahoma at 7 p.m. today at the Ferrell Center.
