Baylor’s men’s and women’s golf teams both found success over the Easter weekend.
Following one of the most successful fall seasons in program history, the ladies began their spring season with a second-place finish over the weekend in Sorrento, Fla., at the UCF Challenge hosted by University of Central Florida.
Baylor women’s golf team won its second straight tournament Wednesday at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M., and senior Jaclyn Jansen tied for the individual title and her second career victory.
Women’s golf won the Dick McGuire Invitational by four strokes this past weekend in Albuquerque, N.M.
Junior Ryan O’Rear led the Baylor men’s team to his career-best performance with a fourth-place finish at 4-under-par, and freshman Hayley Davis led the Baylor women’s team at second-place in her first collegiate tournament with a 2-under-par.
Jay Goble has been named Baylor’s women’s golf head coach. Goble has spent the past three seasons as assistant coach at Florida. In each season there, the Gators reached postseason play and advanced further than the previous season. Goble will officially join Baylor athletics staff on July 1.
