Nicole Castellano, a 2004 alumna of the Baylor Executive MBA Program in Dallas, is pursuing political office.
Castellano, who concentrated in international business and finance for her EMBA, is one of three Democratic primary candidates vying to represent the 39th district in the New Mexico state senate. Incumbent Democrat Phil Griego is currently facing an allegation of wrongdoing from fellow primary candidate Jack Sullivan, who complained to the secretary of state that Griego used campaign funds for personal expenses.
The winner of the June 5 primary will face off against Republican Aubrey Dunn on Nov. 6 for the 39th district seat.
